Marana High School freshmen scoped out their job prospects as part of a Career Pathways Expo on Thursday.
The event was put on by the Marana Chamber of Commerce Education Committee, the Marana Unified School District and Pima Community College.
Students learned about career and technical education courses available with the district, exploring four pathways: art and design, medical, industrial, and business and student services.
鈥淚t is critically important when our students graduate and leave us, they are life-long learners; equipped with the skills they need to enter college with credits already earned or to enter into the work force having already been exposed to real-life work experiences,鈥 said John Jones, director of career and technical education in the Marana School District.
