In anticipation of opening next year, the Pascua Yaqui Tribe officially broke ground Monday on its new casino — the first within ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥â€™s city limits.
Casino Del Sol — Grant Road is expected to be complete in about 18 months near West Grant Road and Interstate 10.
The 172,000-square-foot property will include a 73,000-square-foot casino floor. The project includes a second-floor escalator entrance, restaurant and sports bar. Gaming options will include slot machines, a high-limit room and table games.
Construction of a four-level parking garage with more than 1,000 spaces is almost complete.
The new casino will resemble Casino Del Sol on West Valencia Road, with its painted-sky ceiling and copper dome.

The new casino is expected to open in 2026.
