A resident of a tiny town an hour southeast of ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ has been sentenced to nine years in federal prison for robbing two ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ banks last year.
James D. Munkus of St. David — population 1,709 in the 2010 census -- was sentenced Tuesday in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥Â by U.S. Chief District Judge Raner C. Collins.
Munkus, 55, previously pleaded guilty to two counts of bank robbery for the holdups that took place over a five day period in early 2017 and netted him $67,000.
In the first, on Jan. 9, Munkus used a fake bomb to hold up an eastside branch of Pima Federal Credit Union and made off with $3,000, said a news release from the United States Attorney in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥.
Five days later, Munkus made off with more than $64,000 after using a handgun to rob an eastside branch of US Bank, the news release said.

Authorities caught up with Munkus in Alabama and arrested him in March 2017.
