A 65-year-old man was pulled from the water by a ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ County search and rescue crew Friday night, after his truck was swept away in a wash.
At 8 p.m., the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ County Sheriff's Office search and rescue team was dispatched to a swift water incident on Cascabel Road at milepost two, said Carol Capas, a department spokeswoman.
A 911 caller reported seeing a truck swept away in the wash after it drove into the water and was immediately pushed off the road and under the water, Capas said.
The search and rescue team arrived at the scene and began looking for the vehicle and driver, finding the truck about 200 yards west of Cascabel Road.
The driver wasn't in the vehicle, so the team continued to search towards the San Pedro River, when they eventually heard someone yelling for help and found the driver on the west side of the river, about 3/4 mile away from his truck, Capas said.
