An apparent fight led to two men being shot on the city's west side Wednesday.
Shortly before 6 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting at North Grande Avenue and West Alameda Street, in front of Councilwoman Regina Romero's ward office, said Sgt. Pete Dugan, a ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Police Department spokesman.
When officers arrived, they found no victims at the scene. They began searching the area and learned that one man showed up at a hospital with a gunshot wound to the groin, Dugan said.
Officers found the other victim in the neighborhood with a wound to his chest, and officers administered first-aid before paramedics arrived.
Both men suffered non-life threatening injuries.
During the investigation, detectives learned that the two victims were in a vehicle with multiple occupants, and an argument ensued. The vehicle stopped at Grande and Alameda where the argument continued, said Dugan. Two men climbed out of the car and shots were fired, striking the men, he said.
