Detectives with the sheriff's department are asking for the public's help in locating a man suspected of stealing cigarettes from a southwest side Circle K in October, officials said.
Just after 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 29, Pima County Sheriff's deputies went to the Circle K at 2840 West Los Reales Road, near South Cardinal Avenue and West Valencia Road, for reports for a theft, said Deputy Cody Gress, a department spokesman.
Witnesses told the deputies that the suspect stole a variety of items from the store, and security footage showed a man jumping over the counter and filling a backpack with cigarettes, lottery tickets and lighters, Gress said.
The man is described as being in his late-teens to early-20s, standing 5'8" to 5'10" tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black baseball hat, blue jacket and blue jeans, and was seen driving away from the store in a white Chrysler PT Cruiser.
