A Southern ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ math competition is taking place on Feb. 17 at the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Jewish Community Center, 3800 E. River Road.Â
MATHCOUNTS, a nationwide middle school math enrichment program, is hosting a regional chapter competition. The chapter winners will advance to a state level competition, the winners of which will advance to a national competition.
One-hundred seventeen students from 13 Southern ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ schools are expected to compete. The main competition is not open to the public, but a jeopardy-style round at 1:15 p.m. will be open.
