The period for free parking at ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ parking meters could be shrinking.
Parking meters are currently free after 5 p.m. weekdays as well as all day on weekends.
But a proposal being considered by the city could extend the pay window to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Sunday would stay free.
The proposed changes by the city's Department of Transportation and Mobility could take place as soon as early next year, according to a .
ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ has more than 1,800 metered parking spaces, mostly downtown.
Two "virtual open houses" are planned by the department to get reaction to the proposal.
The first meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. The second meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. Oct. 29.
