A woman who was hit by a car in midtown earlier this month died Feb. 21 from her injuries, police said.
Cheri Hill, 31, died at Banner-University Medical Center where she was taken with life-threatening injuries on Feb. 14, said Sgt. Kimberly Bay, a ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Police Department spokeswoman.
Two weeks ago shortly after 10 p.m., officers and ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Fire Department paramedics responded to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian on East 22nd Street and South Swan Road.
Paramedics found a woman, later identified as Hill, in the road and began treating her before taking her to Banner-UMC, said Bay.
Traffic detectives learned that the driver of a red 2004 Buick Century was headed east on 22nd approaching Swan on a green light. Hill began to quickly walk in the crosswalk against the light when she was struck by the car, said Bay.
