ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ police detectives are investigating a homicide after a man was found with multiple gunshot wounds on the south side of town, authorities said.
The adult male was found around 12:15 p.m. by a passerby who reported a man down. When officers arrived, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident took place in the 2500 block of South Treat Avenue, in the area of South Country Club Road and East 36th Street, according to Sgt. Pete Dugan, a TPD spokesman.
Officers later learned the man's identity and his affiliations with a gang. The department's gang unit was called in to determine if the incident was related to his involvement, Dugan said.
Neighbors told police they heard loud noises early Thursday morning but nothing was reported to the department.
Anyone with details is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME, an anonymous tipster hotline.
