An 81-year-old woman died after a two-vehicle wreck Wednesday afternoon on ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥'s southwest side, authorities say.Â
Martha Saldivar was driving west on West Valencia Road about 3 p.m. when she veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a vehicle at South Mark Road, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said Thursday in a news release.
Saldivar initially declined medical treatment at the crash scene but eventually was taken to the hospital, the release said. That evening, Pima County's Medical Examiner's office notified investigators that Saldivar had died during surgery.
Two people in the other vehicle also were taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, the release said.
