A house on ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥'s north side was destroyed Sunday in a late-night fire that billowed heavy smoke and sparked numerous calls to 911.
The home's occupants escaped unharmed from the blaze that may have started in the laundry room before spreading to other rooms and into the back yard, authorities said.
Firefighters from three agencies helped battle the flames in the 200 block of East Radburn Street, near East River Road and North Stone Avenue, a news release from Northwest Fire District said. Â ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Fire Department and Golder Ranch Fire District also took part in the effort.
The news release said the home's owners "stated that they heard a noise in their laundry room and found the fire." Â
The owners tried unsuccessfully to extinguish the fire themselves, then evacuated with their pet dogs. One owner was evaluated for smoke inhalation and released on scene.
