So far, police have determined that Abriola left work after closing the store and was about to get into his vehicle when "he was approached by several suspects who carjacked him and kidnapped him," Dugan said.
The victims' vehicle was located within a few hours, and "based on evidence collected from the original carjacking scene and evidence from inside the vehicle, we do believe he is injured," he said.
Dugan said police have amassed other evidence that can't be disclosed at this point in the investigation, and said the department will release more details as they become available.
