ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ police obtained an arrest warrant for a man in connection with the slaying of a woman whose body was found inside a house on ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥'s south side Sunday.
The victim was identified as Maria Escobedo, 52, said Sgt. Kimberly Bay, a ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Police Department spokeswoman.
Homicide detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Mario Jesus Dorame on charges of first-degree murder, said Bay, Tuesday, Oct. 3. Dorame is 43.
Dorame had a relationship with Escobedo, and Escobedo's vehicle is missing. It is described as a black 2001 Honda Civic Coupe bearing ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ license plate BXH5934. The car's hood and roof are faded, and there are small dents on the right front fender. The car's windows are tinted, Bay said. Â
On Oct. 1 shortly before 5 p.m., officers responded to a call to check the welfare of Escobedo in the 5500 block of South Tyndall Avenue, said Bay.

The neighborhood is south of East 36th Street and west of South Park Avenue.
Officers learned that Escobedo's family had not heard from her and believed she was associated with the house. Before officers arrived, a family member entered the house and found Escobedo dead, Bay said.Â
Homicide detectives found out that Escobedo did not live at the house, but that two men live there. Detectives spoke to one man, but the other man, Dorame, was not at the house.
Detectives said if anyone sees Dorame or the vehicle to call 911, and not to approach either one. Dorame should be considered armed and dangerous, Bay said. Â Â
