Right on the heels of its win for ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥'s favorite bookstore, one local spot is now getting some attention from a larger audience.
Antigone Books recently won the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Reader's Choice Award for best bookstore, and who can argue with that? A ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ staple for decades, Antigone has managed to thrive in a time when other brick and mortar bookstores have perished.
But Antigone is also getting some recognition from outside ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥, after landing on The Matador Network's recent list of the 28 coolest independent bookstores in the U.S.
Because, who doesn't love a good bookstore?
Coming in at number 12 on the list, Antigone is "a well-stocked and welcoming store for women and men alike," according to the article.
Aside from hosting book groups, readings and writing workshops, Antigone's long-time "commitment to the best in women’s, gender-based, and socially conscious literature has made them a star in the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ community," the article says.
