A woman who was in a two-vehicle crash and seriously injured a week ago on ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥'s south side died Oct. 11.
Amelia Gardner, 72, died of injuries she suffered in the crash Oct. 7 at the intersection of South Midvale Park Road and South Oak Tree Drive, said Officer Chris Hawkins, a ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Police Department spokesman.
The crash occurred shortly before 1 p.m.
The investigation revealed that Gardner was driving a blue Chevrolet Cobalt and was traveling west on Oak Tree when she made a southbound turn onto Midvale Park in front of a tan Ford Explorer, causing the crash in the intersection, said Hawkins.
Paramedics took Gardner to Banner-University Medical Center ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ where she died.
Since January, there have been 51 traffic fatalities in the city, compared to 43 at this time last year, police data shows.
