PHOENIX — Police say seven protesters arrested at Sen. John McCain's office in Phoenix will be facing trespassing charges.
The ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Republic reports the six men and one woman taken into custody are members of a group calling for Congress to pass a Dream Act, which would protect people brought into the country illegally as children.
The seven arrested were among 40 protesters urging McCain to sign a pledge asking Congress to adopt the Dream Act.
Monday's protest was among many at congressional offices across the country.
Senators are being asked by activists to oppose any omnibus spending bill that doesn't include a Dream Act.
