While we Americans have been preoccupied with the election and the impending domestic chaos, the interminable carnage continues in Gaza and the West Bank with no end in sight. More than 45,000 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, have been killed and perhaps as many as 10,000 more lie buried in the rubble. More than 700 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank where illegal Israeli settlements continue to proliferate. It is likely that the incoming American administration will resume the sale of offensive weapons to Israel. As this catastrophe progresses, it is becoming abundantly clear that the ultimate Israeli objective is to incorporate both the West Bank and Gaza into the State of Israel. The Palestinians that manage to survive this debacle will be rendered stateless with no civil rights because they will not be afforded Israeli citizenship.
