Re: Ryan Yonk’s Dec. 16 opinion, “Get real: Coal, oil and gas are here to stay.†Yes, and horses, also, are here to stay but we haven’t looked to them as our primary source of power and transportation for quite some time.
This writer never mentions the reason for transitioning to renewable energy. He just says “it’s a significant goal of environmental groups and their allies.†No opinions from the overwhelming majority of the worlds top climate scientists? No? Just a bunch of lefties trying to shove electric cars down our throats? Biden’s war on fossil fuels? Henry Ford’s war on horses?
The stone age didn’t end because they ran out of stones and, one way or another, the Age of Fossil Fuel will end long before we run out of coal, oil and gas.
