LUBBOCK, Texas -- Freshman Carter Bryant scored 10 first-half points off the bench but Texas Tech rebounded its way a 33-26 halftime lead over the Wildcats at United Supermarkets Arena.
Both ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ (34.5%) and Texas Tech (36.4%) shot poorly from the field but the Red Raiders outrebounded the Wildcats, 24-16, and made up for some of their misses on the glass. Bryant's 2-for-3 3-point shooting was a bright spot for the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ offense, which struggled to score all over the court. Guard Caleb Love was 2 for 6 though he had five rebounds and two assists, while starting post players Trey Townsend and Tobe Awaka combined to shoot 2 of 7 from the field in the first half.
