Fast forward to Foles' rookie season in the NFL. The Eagles' third-round draft selection in 2012 came off the sideline to replace injured starter Michael Vick, throwing for 1,699 yards, six touchdowns and five interceptions in six starts and seven appearances. But first, he sat down for a grilling by NFL QB guru Jon Gruden.
Foles talks about his role as a quarterback, what he brings to the table, snap counts, and ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥'s former pregame haka ritual. When pressed by Gruden on why NFL teams should want Foles ahead of other standouts, the quarterback answers simply, "because I'll make your team better."
In 2013, Foles started 10 games in place of an injured Vick and set the NFL on fire with 2,891 passing yards, 27 touchdowns and only two interceptions. He went 8-2 as a starter that season to earn a spot in his first and only Pro Bowl.
Foles will start in the Super Bowl on Sunday in place of starter Carson Wentz.
