The Colorado Rockies drew their largest crowds in 13 years during their final spring training in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥.
But the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Diamondbacks attracted more fans than the Rockies, and their average attendance was slightly higher than in 2009.
The Rockies averaged 5,243 fans, up from last year's 4,722 at Hi Corbett Field, according to Cactus League attendance figures. The attendance average was their highest since 6,901 in 1997, according to team records.
"In this economy, we were up over last year," Rockies president Keli McGregor said. "We definitely should be pleased with that."
The D-backs drew 6,652 fans per game at ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Electric Park during their final spring in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥, according to the team, up from a 6,559 average last year.
Both will move to a new complex near Scottsdale next year, when all 15 Cactus League teams will train in the Phoenix area.

Diamondbacks president Derrick Hall said he was happy with the turnout by fans.
"We were pleased with the attendance in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ considering it was our final season," Hall said through a spokesman. "We had some big weekend games that packed the place. Schedule plays a large part in attendance results."
Among the 15 teams that train in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥, the D-backs' average attendance this spring ranked sixth and the Rockies 13th, ahead of the Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds, who both train in Goodyear, according to the league.
The Chicago Cubs led the league with 10,892 fans per game in Mesa. The San Francisco Giants were second with a 10,388 average in Scottsdale.
The D-backs drew their largest crowd (11,571) on March 13 against the Los Angeles Dodgers. For their final game at TEP, 5,184 fans attended on March 30 for a game against the Texas Rangers.
The Rockies attracted their biggest crowd (7,273) on March 15 against the Cubs. They drew 6,817 for the final spring game in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ last Wednesday - their fourth-biggest crowd of the spring.
Don and Margaret Meyer of Marana said they didn't attend games at TEP because they were disappointed the D-backs had decided to move.
"It's going to cost the city a lot of money," Don Meyer said. "People all over the Midwest came here."
Alan Feinstein attended the final game at Hi Corbett Field. A New York Mets fan, Feinstein went to four games in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ this spring and said he doubts he will attend many spring games in the Phoenix area.
