At the NFL level, former Lancer running back Bijan Robinson finished third in the league with 1,456 rushing yards — trailing Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry.

Earlier this week, Robinson’s former teammate and defensive back Lathan Ransom helped the Ohio State Buckeyes reach the mountaintop of college football.

Ransom was one of many “T-Locs� to play at the FBS level this season. Here’s a look at how they performed.

Coben Bourguet, ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ State

High School: Salpointe Catholic

Position: Wide receiver

Year: Redshirt junior

Rundown: The younger brother of ASU quarterback Trenton Bourguet just finished his fourth season as a walk-on wide receiver with the Sun Devils, which won the Big 12 championship and went to the College Football Playoff. Coben Bourguet recorded his first career reception at ASU in the 49-7 win over ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ in the Territorial Cup; his brother threw the pass. Bourguet graduated from ASU’s Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering with a 4.1 GPA.

Trenton Bourguet, ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ State

High School: Marana

Position: Quarterback

Year: Redshirt senior

Rundown: The all-time Marana passing yards leader concluded his final season with the Sun Devils as the backup quarterback to Michigan State transfer Sam Leavitt and Nebraska transfer Jeff Sims. Bourguet finished his ASU career with 3,162 passing yards, 14 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Bourguet has aspirations to coach after wrapping up his playing career at ASU.

Treyson Bourguet, BYU

High School: Salpointe Catholic

Position: Quarterback

Year: Redshirt sophomore

Rundown: After two seasons at Western Michigan, Bourguet transferred to BYU and played behind Jake Retzlaff and Gerry Bohanon. Bourguet didn’t appear in any games this season for the Cougars. BYU routed Colorado 36-14 in the Alamo Bowl.

David Cordero, Hawaii

High School: Salpointe Catholic

Position: Running back

Year: Junior

Rundown: Cordero just finished his fourth year at Hawaii and has 40 rushing attempts for 186 yards in his career.

Luis Cordova, ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ State

High School: Salpointe Catholic

Position: Offensive lineman

Year: Freshman

Rundown: The 6-3, 320-pound Cordova signed with the Sun Devils last year after leading the Lancers to the semifinals of the Class 6A state playoffs. Cordova entered the transfer portal.

Keona Davis, Nebraska

High School: Salpointe Catholic

Position: Offensive lineman

Year: Freshman

Rundown: After he was originally committed to play for Jedd Fisch and the hometown ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Wildcats, the 6-5, 255-pound edge rusher flipped to Washington until UW head coach Kalen DeBoer, who was replaced by Fisch in Seattle, went to Alabama. Davis (known as Keona Wilhite during his high school career) signed with Nebraska and had 10 tackles as a freshman. He briefly entered the transfer portal, but returned to Nebraska.

Chika Ebunoha, BYU

High School: Marana

Position: Safety

Year: Redshirt sophomore

Rundown: The full version of Ebunoha’s first name is Chikaodinaka, which is Nigerian for “In God’s hands.� Ebunoha played nine defensive snaps for the Cougars in 2024. In three years at BYU, Ebunoha has appeared in 34 games as a special teams contributor.

Jack Endean, Oklahoma State

High School: Tanque Verde

Position: Offensive tackle

Year: Redshirt freshman

Rundown: The 6-5, 310-pound redshirt freshman signed with the Cowboys in 2023 after playing his high school career at Tanque Verde under former ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Wildcat Jay Dobyns. Endean’s offensive line coach, Charlie Dickey, was a Larry Smith-era offensive lineman who later coached offensive line under Dick Tomey at the UA.

Bruno Fina, Duke

High School: Salpointe Catholic

Position: Offensive lineman

Year: Grad

Rundown: The son of ex-Wildcat and NFL offensive lineman John Fina started 13 games at left tackle for UCLA in 2023, before transferring to Duke. Bruno Fina played 830 snaps at left tackle and surrendered four sacks. Fina’s younger brother, Roman, signed with Duke’s 2025 recruiting class.

CJ Flores, ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥

High School: Cienega

Position: Defensive back

Year: Redshirt sophomore

Rundown: The 5-11, 195-pound Flores joined the Wildcats in 2023 as a walk-on after previously starting two seasons at Cienega.

Dailan Goodman, New Mexico State

High School: Salpointe Catholic

Position: Running back

Year: Redshirt freshman

Rundown: The 6-foot, 195-pound Goodman played his second season with the Aggies after rushing for 927 yards and 11 touchdowns with the Lancers. Goodman had two carries for 2 yards this season.

Kayden Luke, ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥

High School: Canyon del Oro

Position: Running back

Year: Freshman

Rundown: After the CDO running back and linebacker led the state in rushing yards (2,302) yards and helped the Dorados to a perfect 14-0 season en route to a 4A state championship, the walk-on fullback — also known as “Big Red� — carved out a role at the UA. Luke had five carries for 20 yards and was mostly used as a blocker in the backfield.

Jonah Miller, UTSA

High School: Salpointe Catholic

Position: Offensive line

Year: Redshirt junior

Rundown: After leaving Oregon in 2021, the former four-star recruit spent the 2022 and ’23 seasons at Santa Rosa Junior College in California. Miller played four snaps at left guard for a UTSA team that won the Myrtle Beach Bowl.

Tyler Mustain, ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥

High School: Pusch Ridge Christian

Position: Linebacker

Year: Redshirt freshman

Rundown: The 3A South Defensive Player of the Year is a walk-on at ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ after logging 349 tackles, 33 stops for loss and 17 sacks during his high school career. Mustain played 137 snaps on special teams, according to PFF.

Trey Naughton, ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥

High School: Salpointe Catholic

Position: Long snapper

Year: Redshirt sophomore

Rundown: Naughton transferred from Western Kentucky last spring and is now the only long snapper on the UA roster after Ohio transfer and starter Justin Holloway graduated.

Chase Randall, ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥

High School: Canyon del Oro

Position: Defensive line

Year: Junior

Rundown: The walk-on played seven games at Valparaiso in Indiana before transferring to the UA in 2023. Randall moved to running back midway through the 2024 season.

Lathan Ransom, Ohio State

High School: Salpointe Catholic

Position: Safety

Year: Senior

Rundown: Ransom ended his roller coaster journey at Ohio State with a national championship. As a freshman, Ransom went through a season impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. In the following years, Ransom experienced the introduction of NIL and the transfer portal to collegiate athletics. He also endured multiple injuries that sidelined him for several games. In his final hurrah as a Buckeye, Ransom became an All-Big Ten selection and posted a career-high 75 tackles, three forced fumbles and an interception.

Cruz Rushing, Oregon

High School: Salpointe Catholic

Position: Safety

Year: Redshirt sophomore

Rundown: The former Florida Gator transferred to the UA as a scholarship safety, then transferred to Oregon last spring.

Elijah Rushing, Oregon

High School: Salpointe Catholic

Position: Defensive end

Year: Freshman

Rundown: One of the highest-rated players in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ history signed with Oregon and played behind All-Big Ten edge rusher Matayo Uiagalelei. According to PFF, Rushing had 18 defensive snaps as a true freshman in 2024.

Joey Sumlin, Purdue

High School: Salpointe Catholic

Position: Linebacker

Year: Redshirt freshman

Rundown: The son of former ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ head coach Kevin Sumlin, who is now the tight ends coach at Maryland, finished his second season at Purdue, the older Sumlin’s alma mater. Joey Sumlin was mostly used on special teams.

Kingsley Ugwu, Fresno State

High School: Sahuaro

Position: Offensive lineman

Year: Senior

Rundown: The 6-5, 295-pound former Hutchinson Community College (Kansas) standout and NJCAA champion transferred to Fresno State following one season at Kansas State. Ugwu played 207 snaps in nine games at left tackle. Fresno State lost to Northern Illinois in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

Anthony Wilhite, ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥

High School: Salpointe Catholic

Position: Running back

Year: Redshirt sophomore

Rundown: Wilhite rushed for 2,058 yards and 24 touchdowns in three seasons as the successor to Bijan Robinson at Salpointe. Wilhite didn’t appear in any games for the 4-8 Wildcats.

Sa’Kylee Woodard, New Mexico

High School: Canyon del Oro

Position: Defensive lineman

Year: Freshman

Rundown: The 6-4, 296-pound Woodard helped CDO win a 4A state championship and a perfect 14-0 record. Woodard, who signed with New Mexico as an offensive lineman, played against Washington State as a nose tackle.
