No matter what filter one might choose to view the career of quarterback through, he’s been a smashing success.
Let’s begin here: Mahomes has a career record of 106-26 as a starter, including the playoffs.
That’s an .803 winning percentage, so it should be no surprise that he’s been phenomenal in nearly every setting: home and road, day and night, and on grass and artificial turf.
But one could argue Mahomes has been at his best in domed stadiums.
is 12-0 in regular-season games played in a dome during his career, which is something to keep in mind ahead of Super Bowl LIX. The Chiefs will be facing the Philadelphia Eagles in the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday.

A year ago, Mahomes thrived in Super Bowl LVIII, which was played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The Raiders’ home is also a dome. Mahomes completed 34 of 46 passes for 333 yards, two touchdowns and an interception as the Chiefs beat the 49ers 25-22 in overtime.
Mahomes also rushed nine times for 66 yards.
Does that guarantee success against the Eagles in the Superdome? Certainly not, but it will be interesting to see if Mahomes can continue that standout play in domes in Super Bowl LIX.
