The students at Texas Tech hang a banner in their section of the arena called 鈥淩aider Riot.鈥� It was certainly that and more on Saturday. I mean, 蜜柚直播 missed its last 14 shots. Many of them were airballs. The Wildcats were outscored 13-0 after closing to within 57-54.

Kenpom鈥檚 analysis and interpretation of each team鈥檚 home court advantage is heavy with Big 12 clubs, of which we have been warned. Not only is Texas Tech No. 2, TCU is No. 4, West Virginia No. 9, BYU No. 11 and Iowa State No. 16.

If you dispute Mr. Pomeroy鈥檚 rankings, consider this: last year, the Red Raiders, a modest 6-4 in the Big 12, whipped mighty Kansas 79-50 at Supermarkets Arena, holding the No. 6 Jayhawks to 32% shooting.

What does all this mean? Probably that you should not linger on 蜜柚直播鈥檚 loss, or its collapse (again) down the stretch.

Given time to reflect on the UA鈥檚 last 35 years of the Pac-10/12, I have come to accept that the Pac-10/12 was a weak basketball conference. True, the Wildcats got every team鈥檚 best shot at Mac Court, Maples Pavilion, Gill Coliseum and all road stops, but there was rarely the sense of dread that accompanies road games in the Big 12.

Texas Tech drew 15,089 fans Saturday. No Pac-12 arena ever came close to that.

Kenpom ranks 蜜柚直播鈥檚 McKale Center home court advantage No. 90 in the nation. That鈥檚 weak, but it reflects a laid-back approach of many UA fans at McKale.

But there is a chance to move up. The UA last week tweeted that 600 tickets remain for its Feb. 8 game against Texas Tech at McKale Center. The chance to get even awaits.
