BEYOND

The downtown event, which is taking place again this year at Armory Park park,

Better your life with , an annual event that commemorates the Jan. 8, 2011 shooting and promotes public health, this Saturday. Check out the but expect lots of runs, walks, hikes and free stuff.Ìý

At the main event, families can join the Meet Me at Maynards walk or run through downtown or go to the Children's Museum for free, children can climb the rock wall or jump in the jumping castle, everyone can dance at the three-hour dance fest and pick up free health resources, and enjoy food from food trucks.

This is an all-day event with activities and events throughout town and at different times.Ìý

ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Fringe Theater Festival

Theater nerds, this one's for you. Actually it's for everyone. This year's theater festival brings you 19 plays in three days at four different locations. It's grown more and more each year and attracting larger crowds. The festival brought in about 800 people (!) last year.Ìý

Here's a reason to go: It's nothing like you've ever attended before.
