Hagar was Van Halen's lead singer from 1985 to 1996. In 2004, he and the band, with Van Halen brothers 鈥 drummer Alex and lead guitar Eddie 鈥 set out for another shot together.听From summer through mid-November, the band played 80 shows; the last two were in 蜜柚直播 at the , where the reunion tour would come to a close.
We caught the first of the two on a chilly night when decided to eschew a shirt and played the two-hour concert bare chested.

On the second night, things went a little haywire, Hagar recalled in a phone interview last week from California.
鈥淓ddie kind of had an emotional breakdown and had been drinking a little too much,鈥 Hagar recalled. 鈥淗e had kind of a meltdown on stage and smashed his guitar up. I remember walking off the stage and thinking, 鈥榃ow that was sad.鈥 It wasn鈥檛 even like funny or cool; it was just sad.鈥
The reunion tour was the last time Hagar fronted Van Halen. He resumed his solo career and other music projects including teaming up with聽Van Halen bass player Michael Anthony, who plays in . The band plays the , 5655 W. Valencia Road, on Friday, June 10. Get tickets and details .听
