UA President Robert Robbins was awarded $35,000 in bonuses for meeting his 2017-2018 goals, and his contract was extended through June 2021 at the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Board of Regents meeting this week.
Robbins was required to assemble a new leadership team for the university before July 1, 2018. For this, he earned $15,000 in what was described as “at-risk compensation.â€
Robbins also earned $10,000 for developing a strategic plan for the university under his leadership. The final plan will be unveiled at November’s board meeting at the University of ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥.
Lastly, he organized a marketing leadership team to develop a marketing plan to match his strategic plan, earning him another $10,000.
The money is awarded as incentive and in addition to his base salary of $675,000, plus additional benefits — including $200,000 from the UA Foundation endowment for presidential leadership — totaling a nearly $1 million a year pay package.
