The ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Roadrunners hockey team will be honoring a local Educator of the Month for the rest of the 2018-2019 season.
One teacher will receive $1,000 in school supplies, four game tickets and recognition at an upcoming hockey game. The recipients will be featured in the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥.

CenturyLink offers as much as $5K for STEM projects
The CenturyLink Clarke M. Williams Foundation invites teachers working in kindergarten through 12th grade classrooms to apply for a Teachers and Technology program grant.

The foundation will award teachers with up to $5,000 to fund STEM projects in their classrooms in an effort to increase student achievement.

The program, launched in 2008, has awarded $8 million in grants to teachers, the foundation said.
Catalina HS Foundation honors several alums
ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ City Councilman Steve Kozachik was named Alum of the Year at the Catalina High School Foundation’s 13th annual meeting on Oct. 18.
The foundation also inducted former Trojans Ray Brady, Mark Hanna, Barry McCoy, Don Parsons, Pete Ronstadt and Kate Walsh as the class of 2018.
ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ High School Badger Hall of Fame
The ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ High Badger Foundation inducted members to the Hall of Fame class of 2018 on Oct. 20.
The new inductees are Gilbert G. Aguirre, class of 1953, entrepreneur; Dr. Sandra Hernandez, 1975, CEO of California Healthcare Foundation; Fred Nelson, 1965, forensic, structural and civic engineer; Harriette Martin, faculty 1934 to 1973; and the Cactus Chronicle newspaper adviser, who was honored posthumously.
