On a quiet weekday morning, visitors to the Old Spanish Trail Marketplace stopped to snap pictures of the “coming soon†sign.
, a popular Japanese dollar store that opened its first ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ location earlier this year, will open a second store at East 22nd Street and South Harrison Road.
The global chain will occupy the space formerly used by Dress Barn at 9650 E. 22nd St.
This summer, Daiso opened its first local store in the Ventana Village Shopping Center, 6884 E. Sunrise Drive, near Kolb Road.
The opening on Aug. 31 was met with long lines of eager shoppers for its variety of products, such as home décor, stationery, beauty products, toys and food.

No opening date has yet been announced for the second location, but the company is already hiring.

- Chapman ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ bought 1.88 acres of retail land at Coronado Point Commerce Center, 3555 E. Nebraska Strav., from Rados Properties — ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Land LLC for $491,358. Stephen D. Cohen, with Picor, represented the seller. Tim Newquist, with Newquist Investments, represented the buyer.
- Southern Express Bus Services LLC leased the 27,000-square-foot secured yard in the west parking lot at Ina-10 Flex Center, 7051 N Camino Martin. Southern Express Bus Services offers bus training for local school districts and other users. The secured yard comes with a 2,000-square-foot modular building. Ina 10 Flex Center is the redevelopment of the former Bedroxx Bowling Alley. It is now fully leased. The landlord, Larsen Baker, was represented by its broker Isaac Figueroa who handled the transaction.
- Ace Heating, Cooling & Plumbing
- LLC leased 5,940 square feet of industrial space at 19 W. Ventura St. from Long Far Investments LLC. Paul Hooker, with Picor, represented the landlord and William Martin with, Cresa Phoenix, represented the tenant.
- Dr’s Own LLC, dba , leased 2,331 square feet of retail space at 7315 N. Oracle Road in the center known as Two Oracle, on the northwest corner of Oracle and Ina roads. The Good Feet Store sells arch supports, insoles, orthotics and other related footwear. The landlord, Larsen Baker, was represented by its broker Isaac Figueroa and Rick Volk, of Volk Co. Alan Houston, of SRS, represented the tenant.
- Mountain Bike America LLC, dba , leased 1,200 square feet at Midway Business Park, 4500 E. Speedway, from Pegasus ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Owner LLC. Paul Hooker and Andrew Keim, with Picor, represented the landlord.
