A 44-year-old man was killed in a crash Tuesday night when ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ police say he lost control of a Jeep Grand Cherokee and smashed into a light pole.
"Evidence of alcohol consumption," was found at the crash scene, ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ police said Wednesday in a news release.
About 11:20 p.m., the unidentified 44-year-old man was speeding north in the 5400 block of South Nogales Highway, north of East Drexel Road, and lost control, the release said.
The Jeep slid west across Nogales Highway and crashed into the pole. The man was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the Jeep, the release said.
He died at the crash scene, police said.
Speed and impairment are factors in the wreck, the release said.
