As ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ police officers arrived to work early Tuesday morning they spotted graffiti at the main station downtown.
The front wall of the station at 270 S. Stone Ave. was tagged with green graffiti, and so was a part of the officer's memorial in the courtyard in front of the station, said Sgt. Kimberly Bay, a ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Police Department spokeswoman.
The vandal or vandals also left their marks on curbs at the station, Bay said.
The graffiti was noticed about 6:30 a.m., and city workers with the graffiti removal program cleaned up the tagging within an hour after it was reported, said Bay.
A dollar figure on the damage was not immediately known.
The department's graffiti unit is working the case, and investigators ask that anyone with information call 88-CRIME.

This is not the first time the police department's main headquarters has been vandalized, Bay said. However, she said she did not have immediate information about the other acts.
