Pima County Sheriff's detectives arrested a suspect in connection with a double homicide Saturday.
Raymond Valencia, 49, was taken into custody around 2 p.m. Sunday. He was booked into the Pima County jail on two counts of first-degree murder, said Deputy Cody Gress, a sheriff's department spokesman.Â
Deputies found Carlos Rendon, 48, and Jackelyne Padilla, 18, dead inside a residence on the 5800 block of South Swinging A, off of South Camino Verde around 7 p.m. Saturday. They died from apparent gunshot wounds.
Gress said he could not comment on the motive or the relation of the two victims.
Valencia was identified by witnesses as a suspect in the case, said Gress.Â
