After entering the patio, Smith pointed a loaded handgun at employees through the bar's front doorway.
Employees of the bar confronted Smith and detained him until police arrived.
He was booked into the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ County jail on charges of attempted armed robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, first-degree burglary and criminal trespass, Wacthel said.
Smith is being held on a $100,000 bond.
