There is now a total of 12 people vying to fill a the seat on the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ city council left vacant by the resignation last month of Steve Kozachik.
Vince Rabago, an attorney, joins 11 people already seeking the post. He filed a few hours before deadline.
Rabago worked in the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Attorney General’s office for a year and spent five years as the assistant attorney general for the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, according to his cover letter. Rabago does not intend to run for the open seat in 2025, he said.
A , organized by the League of Women Voters of Greater ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥, will be held from 5:30 p.m. to about 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 1200 N. Campbell Ave.

A replacement for Kozachik could be picked by the council by the end of the month. Whomever is chosen to represent the ward that stretches across midtown ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ will be in the seat through 2025.
