A new grab-and-go dining venue will be going into the Transamerica building in downtown ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥.
will open at 177 N. Church Ave., on the corner of Alameda Street, with lunch and happy hour offerings.
The concept is to provide office workers who have short lunch breaks ready-to-go meals that are prepared daily and a happy hour with snacks to encourage workers to linger downtown.
Indoor seating will feature large booths and there will be a 60-seat patio on the Alameda Street side, along with 30 dedicated parking spots.
De Novo Market & Tap aims to provide downtown ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ office workers who have short lunch breaks ready-to-go meals that are prepared daily.
Food will be in dry and refrigerated reach-in shelves.
Tap service will include 12 beers — local, domestic and international — as well as three tap cocktails. There will be two red and two white wine offerings that rotate.

“Activating the sleepy corner throughout the day and early evening with onsite parking and the new outdoor patio is a priority for Transamerica and De Novo’s owners,†developers told the Rio Nuevo board.
The Rio Nuevo board voted to grant the project $580,000.
Remodeling work is underway, and De Novo is expected to open by the end of the year.
The Rio Nuevo board also voted to support two new concepts in the Monier Building, 160 S. Avenida del Convento, west of Interstate 10.
Herbert’s Deli, a traditional New York-style deli, and The Annex Commissary, a creative shared kitchen, were granted $232,000 to help launch both concepts. They are expected to open in October.
These projects combined are forecasting approximately $2 million a year in new revenue, adding additional food and beverage sales tax to the district.
