Tuesday is Election Day, with voters to decide on important city of ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥, Oro Valley, school and fire district issues.
The elections are being handled primarily through mail-in ballots except in Oro Valley, which will also have regular polling sites open Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Pima County Recorder’s Office is handling the consolidated election for the various jurisdictions. All ballots must be received by the county by 7 p.m. Tuesday to be counted.
What’s at stake
City of ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ voters will decide on three ward races — one that is uncontested — and whether to give raises to the mayor and City Council. Voters will also decide on whether to raise the city’s sales tax to pay for improvements to Reid Park Zoo and to provide funds for early-education programs.

How to vote
Most of the elections are being handled primarily with mail-in ballots, except for Oro Valley.
However, if you haven’t mailed your ballot by now, you shouldn’t put it in the mailbox because it won’t arrive in time to be counted.
Voters can drop off their completed ballots at any voting location operated by the Pima County Recorder’s Office on Election Day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
However, if you need to request a replacement ballot because yours was lost, mis-marked or because you recently moved you have two choices:
On Monday, you can vote at one of the three early-voting locations operated by Pima County. The locations, open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., are:
- The recorder’s east-side office, 6920 E. Broadway.
- The south-side office, 6550 S. Country Club Road.
- The downtown office at 240 N. Stone Ave.
These three sites will also be open on Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
On Election Day, voters who do not have a ballot must go to their designated voting location, depending on which jurisdiction you live in, and vote in person.
The other voting sites open Tuesday for most city of ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ voters, including school districts and most Drexel Heights Fire District residents, are:
- Miller-Golf Links Library, 9640 E. Golf Links Road.
- Valencia Library, 202 W. Valencia Road.
- Flowing Wells School District Iola Frans Administration Center, 1556 W. Prince Road.
- Johnson Elementary School, 6060 S. Joseph Ave.
These sites will have ballots available Tuesday for voters in the Marana school district, Picture Rocks Fire District, Avra Valley Fire District and Drexel Heights Fire District (if you live in the Marana school district):
- Sandario Baptist Church, 6971 N. Sandario Road.
- Marana Middle School, 11285 W. Grier Road.
- Quail Run Elementary, 4600 W. Cortaro Farms Road.
- Twin Peaks Elementary, 7995 W. Twin Peaks Road.
For Oro Valley voters, those with an early mail-in ballot can drop it off at any polling location inside the town limits beginning at 6 a.m. Tuesday. Those not on the permanent early voting list who did not get a mail-in ballot, can cast their votes in person at their regularly assigned polling location.
Voters can track the status of mail-in ballots, find their polling stations and get more election-related information at or call 724-4330.
