A Pinal county woman and her fiance were both arrested Sunday, following a domestic violence situation that led to a standoff with police.
Shortly before 4 p.m., 39-year-old Monique McMahon called 911 to say that she and her fiance, Daren Dahlgren, got into a fight and she ran to a neighbor's house to call for help, according to a post on the Pinal County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page.
Deputies responded to the San Tan Valley home, and attempted to make contact with Dahlgren, 51, who came to the door with a gun that was pointed to the ground. when deputies asked him to come outside, he shook his head and closed the door, the post said.
McMahon told deputies that she locked herself inside of her bathroom while she and Dahlgren were fighting because she wanted to leave the home. He kicked the bathroom door open and pushed her into the bathtub before assaulting her. Eventually, she was able to escape to the neighbor's house, the post said.
