What you need to know about NBA creative contracts

Let's break down what each of those deals might entail:

Exhibit 10 contracts

Alkins reportedly agreed with the Toronto Raptors to an 鈥淓xhibit 10鈥� contract, a new agreement created in the 2017 collective bargaining agreement. Here鈥檚 how it works:

Players can be given bonuses ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 for attending summer league and fall training camp.
They are otherwise not guaranteed and pay only the minimum NBA salary if a player makes the team.
If the player is cut, the team has the right to convert the Exhibit 10 to a standard two-way contract.

Two-way contracts

Kobi Simmons and Kadeem Allen signed two-way contracts last season after leaving 蜜柚直播, and Allonzo Trier has agreed to one with New York.

Here鈥檚 how they work:

Players with four years of service or less can sign two-way deals.
A player can be paid up to $50,000 for attending an NBA training camp.
He is guaranteed $75,000 if spending the entire season in the G League but can earn up to $275,000 depending on the days spent in the NBA. Two-way players are paid 1/170 of the rookie minimum contract per day ($4,798) they are in the NBA.
Players with two-way deals essentially take the 16th and 17th roster spots on an NBA team.
But if they spend more than 45 days in the NBA, they must be cut or converted to a regular contract. Their NBA club must terminate the two-way deal and create one of its 15 conventional roster spots for them.
