National Signing Day is officially over and the rosters for the upcoming season will morph as the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Wildcats hauled in 20 recruits of the 2018 class, also known as A-Team 18.
Per 247 Sports, ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ is ranked No. 11 in the Pac-12 and No. 58 nationally. Fortunately for ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥, last year's class was 10th in the conference, and the Wildcats had some of the best freshmen not just in the Pac-12, but in college football. Â
ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥'s 2017 class had a major impact on the program, particularly the defense with players like linebackers Colin Schooler, Tony Fields II and Kylan Wilborn along with safety Scottie Young Jr. Schooler won Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year, while the other defensive players heavily impacted ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥'s defense. And Schooler was only a three-star recruit so rankings could only be fools gold.
Will the 2018 class have the same caliber of players? That's up in the air, but this year's class, mixed with the soon-to-be sophomores could be the group to set the tone of the Sumlin era.Â
