Clark Candiotti's latest gem earned him plaudits from the Pac-12 Conference, which named the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ right-hander the league's Pitcher of the Week following a dominant performance vs. Stanford.
Candiotti became the first UA pitcher to throw a complete-game shutout since Garrett Irvin in 2021 in the Wildcats' 5-0 victory over the Cardinal on Saturday night.
Candiotti, a fifth-year senior who transferred to ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ last summer, allowed five hits and zero walks while striking out seven batters. Candiotti at one point retired 14 Stanford hitters in a row. He lowered his season ERA to 2.93 and his conference mark to 2.12.
The complete game was Candiotti's second of the season. He's the first UA pitcher to do that since Cameron Ming in 2017.

ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ (29-17, 17-7) visits ASU (26-23, 14-13) on Tuesday night before trekking to Salt Lake City for a weekend series against Utah featuring the league's first- and second-place teams.
