Atlanta Falcons star running back Bijan Robinson is heading to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career.
The ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ native and Salpointe Catholic product was named a Pro Bowler on Monday as a replacement for Philadelphia Eagles star Saquon Barkley, who is preparing for the Super Bowl in New Orleans.
Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Leonard Williams will replace Eagles defensive lineman Jalen Carter.
Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs (Detroit Lions) and Josh Jacobs (Green Bay Packers) are the NFC running backs at the Pro Bowl. Robinson joins offensive lineman Chris Lindstrom and wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge as Falcons in the Pro Bowl, which is now a flag football game between the top AFC and NFC players.
Robinson is the first ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥an to receive Pro Bowl honors since former Amphi receiver and return specialist Michael Bates (Carolina Panthers) in 2000. Bates was a five-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro selection as a returner, in addition to winning a bronze medal for track at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona.

Marana graduate Paul Robinson, Bijan’s granduncle, was a Pro Bowler for the Cincinnati Bengals in 1968 and ‘69. Bijan Robinson, the highest-selected ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥an in NFL Draft history, ended his second season in the NFL with 304 rushing attempts for 1,456 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns in addition to 61 receptions for 431 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.
Robinson finished the 2024 season third in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns; his rushing yards were only behind Barkley and Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry. Robinson led the NFL in missed tackles force (117), according to He was also third in yards after contact (728).
The Pro Bowl at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida is on Sunday at 1 p.m. on ESPN, ABC, Disney+, ESPN+, NFL+ and FuboTV.
The Pro Bowl will have a skills challenge on Thursday, Robinson’s 23rd birthday, that begins at 5 p.m. on ESPN.
