ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ quarterback Noah Fifita is the Wildcats’ QB1 on the depth chart and now the roster.
Fifita is changing his jersey number from 11 to 1, .
The ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ redshirt junior quarterback changed his number after three seasons at the UA. Fifita wore No. 1 at Servite High School (Anaheim, California) before he signed with the UA in 2022, along with Servite teammates former ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, linebacker Jacob Manu and tight end Keyan Burnett.
Fifita’s jersey number is one of many changes in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥â€™s offense this offseason. After having the third-worst offense in the Big 12 and finishing 114th nationally in scoring offense, the Wildcats hired offensive coordinator Seth Doege and tight ends coach Josh Miller from Marshall. The Wildcats currently have 26 scholarship newcomers in the 2025 recruiting class.

A year after Fifita became the Pac-12 Offensive Freshman of the Year and Football Writers Association of America Freshman of the Year, Fifita’s touchdown-to-interception ratio dropped from 23:5 to 18:12. A season after Fifita became the only Wildcat in school history to have a completion rate (73.6%) higher than 70%, he dropped to 60.5%. He also had the most throwaways (37) in college football this season, according to Pro Football Focus.
Fifita enters 2025 eighth in program history with 5,955 yards — seventh with 44 touchdowns. Fifita owns ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥â€™s single-game record for passing yards (527), a record he set against ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ State in 2023.
