This is probably the busiest sports weekend in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥, or anywhere in America this week. Check this out:

ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Soccer Club players make their introductory run for the opening ceremonies for the 35th Fort Lowell Shootout in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥, Jan. 17, 2025.
– The 35th Fort Lowell Shootout soccer tournament, hosting about 400 boys and girls teams ages 7-19, is being held. That is roughly 4,000 soccer players. Fortunately, the weather gods cooperated with sunshine.
– The 58th Flowing Wells Wrestling Invitational is being held at Flowing Wells High School, hosting 84 boys and girls high school wrestling teams. That’s about 1,100 wrestlers. The event is so huge that FWHS athletic director Mark Brunenkant hopes to move it to the new sports facilities at the Kino Sports Complex in coming years.
– The 21st MLK Basketball Classic will be held at McKale Center on Monday from 8 a.m. to about 9 p.m. There will be eight high school games from Class 2A to 6A, for boys and girls. The feature game could be a 3 p.m. duel between Izzy Galindo‘s 15-2 Pueblo and shooting star America Cazares, second in the state with a 28-point scoring average, and 14-5 Catalina Foothills, which has already beaten state powers Sahuaro and Flowing Wells.
