There is no better news than learning your favorite restaurant is moving closer to you.
No more sitting at red lights or paying expensive fees on DoorDash — now, you’ll be able to jump in your car and drive a couple blocks down to satisfy your cravings.
East-siders won’t have to make the 30-minute trek to the west side for a strawberry lemonade ice or struggle to find parking at the Mercado San AgustÃn to get a taste of creamy horchata.
University of ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ students can now walk to Park Avenue to grab a slice of New York-style pizza instead of trying to find a ride to the east side.
You’ll even be able to grab a plate of al pastor wings and an iced matcha latte under the same roof!
From gastropubs to Korean fried chicken, here are eight local restaurants  opening new locations in 2025.
Ciao Down Kitchen
If you’ve been to then you’ve definitely smelled the mouthwatering aroma of Ciao Down, located at Whether it’s at their brick-and-mortar studio or from their cherry-red bus, Ciao Down serves up pizza that’ll keep you coming back for more. They are most known for their Snakebite pizza, which comes with raspberry chipotle jam, jalapeños, cream cheese and bacon.
Now they are taking their delicious pies to the north side. They are currently working on opening Ciao Down Kitchen, a full-scale restaurant that will be an extension of their other culinary concepts, their website said.

Decibel Coffee Works
First, Rocco’s Chicago Pizza moved to the new Sol Block and now a beloved coffee shop is coming too! Decibel Coffee Works, known for their rich coffee at the , recently opened a new location on the Sunshine Mile in midtown.
While their spot at the Annex is a walk-up window, their Sol Block space has indoor seating and a bigger menu, along with their ice cream and a huge glass case full of tasty pastries. Next time you’re cruising down Broadway, stop by for a matcha or an iced vanilla latte.

NYPD Pizza
University of ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ students no longer have to drive to the east side to enjoy New York-style pizza. NYPD Pizza, located at , has opened their second location near campus. This is kind of like a homecoming for their owner, who was a former Wildcat and football player, their website said.
At their new location, you’ll be able to get all the classic dishes you’d see at a pizza place back east: slices, whole pies, salads, wings, subs and pasta are just of a few items found on their menu.

This Korean fried chicken spot in has been one of ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥â€™s best-kept secrets. Now, the secret’s out and they are moving on up!
Oh My Chicken is currently in the process of opening a second location in the former home of Brushfire BBQ on Campbell Avenue so we can all enjoy crispy, juicy Korean fried chicken smothered in sweet chili sauce. Trust me when I say it, this is some of the best fried chicken in town.Â

Less than a month after Flora’s Market Run abruptly closed in early January, two ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ businesses are moving in.
Redbird Scratch Kitchen and Sonoran House
This new coffee shop and restaurant are teaming up to take over the empty Flora’s Market Run building, where the historic Rincon Market was once housed.  will be setting up its coffee/tea bar and retail offerings in the dining room space while will be taking over the kitchen. Whether you’re feeling like a latte or if you'd rather devour a plate of al pastor wings, this new collab has you covered.

It’s hard to believe Seis Kitchen was once a food truck. A decade later, they are now gearing up to open their fourth location! Soon, Seis Kitchen will open a new spot on ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥â€™s east side, located in La Plaza Shoppes. Whether its their ice-cold horchata or their big bowls of pozole, this family-owned and -operated restaurant has captured ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥â€™s hearts.
According to their , they are projected to open in mid-to-late spring and will be bringing their made-from-scratch cuisine, handmade cocktails and fun atmosphere with them.

A pizza and fries dish from Slice & Ice.Â

When Ed Irving sold Eegee's and retired in 2006, he had no plans of returning to the restaurant industry. But all that changed in 2020 when he decided it was time to make a comeback. He opened Slice & Ice, located at , where he serves pizza, fries, heroes and, of course, gourmet Italian ice.
Now he’s coming home and opening a new location in the same building his kids grew up in. Slice & Ice will be taking over the former Eegee’s building on Tanque Verde, making sure all of us east-siders can get our pizza and ice fix. He hopes to have the space open in the next six months.

Sally Shamrell-Murphy pulls curtains out of a box as her husband, Glenn Murphy, hangs them as the two prepare for the opening of UnCork’d Kitchen & Bar, 6300 E. Tanque Verde Road, in early February.
UnCork’d Kitchen & Cocktails
The owners of The Cork have taken over the neighboring Saddlehorn Saloon and have created an all new gastropub called UnCork’d. Since The Cork’s happy hours were so popular and they weren’t able to fit everyone in, it only made sense to expand.
The head chef, Noah Tellez, is in charge of the gastropub’s menu, including starters like truffle tots and num num balls (aka mushroom risotto shaped into spheres) as well as entrees like smash burgers and a steak sandwich.
