We were once told that a lot of junk mail was not recyclable because it was on glossy paper. That is no longer true.
Just pile that junk mail and paper in the recycling bin. If you shred it and you are in the city of ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥, you should put it in a clear plastic bag first.
Outside the city, you probably can't recycle shredded paper so if you shred all of your junk mail and paper, don't recycle it. If you don't shred it, then recycle away.
What about gift wrap? No. don't recycle it. Nor should you recycle tracing paper.
