Comedy fans have a couple of solid choices this weekend, with Colin Quinn playing the Rialto Theatre and humorist David Sedaris reading at Centennial Hall.
has been a presence on the national scene since his early days on the 1980s MTV game show, 鈥淩emote Control.鈥 But he is perhaps best known for his time on 鈥淪aturday Night Live,鈥 where he took on signature characters 鈥 such as Lenny the Lion 鈥 and helmed SNL鈥檚 Weekend Update after castmate Norm MacDonald鈥檚 departure.
Over the past two decades, Quinn has put a lot of his efforts into one-man shows, developing seven of them since 1998, including 鈥淐olin Quinn: Long Story Short鈥 in 2010, which was directed by Jerry Seinfeld and aired on HBO in 2011.
Quinn brings a new set, 鈥淐olin Quinn Live!鈥 to the Rialto, 318 E. Congress, on Thursday, Nov. 10. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $29-$35 through .
