- Featuring an homage to the late Princess Diana 20 years after her death and her son, Prince William.
- The music: The program includes John Rutter’s “This is the Day,” commissioned for Prince William’s wedding; and John Tavener’s sobering “Song for Athene,” performed at Princess Diana’s funeral after she was killed in a car accident in Paris. Also: Britten’s famous choral piece “Hymn to Saint Cecilia” and works by the Beatles.

- The music: A little Beethoven (Violin Sonata No. 1 in D) paired with a bit by Brahms (Violin Sonata No. 3 in D) would be reason enough to see this concert. Add in Saint-Saëns; Violin Sonata No. 1 in D minor and the piano-violin duet of Kaija Anneli Saariaho’s “Tocar” and you have a recital that lives up to 蜜柚直播 Friends’ new name for its Piano and Friends series.
