Democratic Rep. Raúl Grijalva won reelection to a U.S. House seat representing ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥'s 7th District on Tuesday.Â
He defeated Republican Daniel Butierez.
Grijalva resperesents a district that spans the western half of ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥, much of the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥-Mexico border in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ County and southwestern ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ all the way to Yuma.
The Associated Press declared Grijalva the winner at 7:39 p.m., less than an hour after the polls closed in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥.
Grijalva disclosed this spring that he'd been diagnosed with lung cancer.
The win Tuesday night is his 12th consecutive election victory since first winning the seat in 2002.
