A man was shot and killed by the father of a teen he’d fought with during a game at a ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ church basketball court Monday night, police say.
Vashaun Baker, 29, and an unnamed 18-year-old got into a fight during a basketball game on a court at Christ Church United Methodist, 655 N. Craycroft Road.
The teen left and told his father, said Sgt. Pete Dugan, a ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ police spokesman.
The father, Paul John Alvarez, 38, drove to the basketball court about 8:30 p.m. and asked players who had fought his son. When Baker said he had done so, police say, Alvarez shot him multiple times then drove off.
Baker died a short time later at the hospital.
Alvarez surrendered to police on Tuesday. He was arrested on suspicion of first degree murder.
